Cyclist with wooden bike in the Allmende Gardens at Tempelhofer Feld

Urban Gardening Tour

Urban oases and parks

Berlin is also the capital of urban gardening culture. On this relaxed bike tour we visit with you the most beautiful community gardens of the city and let us be inspired by the special Berlin flair. On this tour through the city we see of course many other sights, but especially we show you the hidden oases of the city. This tour offers Berlin lifestyle, secret places, alternative life and a lot of relaxation in the city. A highlight is the leisurely drive across the Tempelhofer Feld and the visit of the Allmende Community Gardens. We are happy to plan a picnic or a beer garden visit here. If you wish, we can also continue to the Britzer Garten. The tour is also very suitable for company trips and groups who want to make an excursion in the city. To make the tour a unique experience, you can choose between our brand new touring and trekking bikes, or just try out e-bikes.

Tour Route

Selection of some sights: Tiergarten, Gleisdreiecks Park, Kreuzberg the mountain :-), Bergmannstreet neighborhood, Tempelhofer Airfield, Allmede community gardens, Hasenheide, Prinzessinnen Gardens, Engelbecken, Holzmarkt Pampa.

Prinzessinengarten Kreuzberg - Neukölln

Since 2020, the Princess Garden has been located on the grounds of the New St. Jacobi Cemetery in Hermannstrasse. After moving from Moritzplatz, one of the most interesting community garden projects in the city has established itself on the cemetery grounds. The project is a new form of cemetery use for the purpose of sustainable green urban culture.

Allmendekontor on the Tempelhof airfield

Another highlight on our Green Spaces bike tour to Kreuzberg-Neukölln, the city's two hip scene districts, is Tempelhofer Flugfeld. No place in Berlin is better to explore by bike than the former Tempelhof Airport with its rich history. A must for all Berlin lovers who want to discover the real Berlin away from the classic tourist attractions. In 2014, Berliners fought for this unique space through a petition for a referendum against the conversion of Tempelhofer Feld. Preserved in its original form, the field is used in a variety of ways as a local recreation area. The completely preserved runway invites to cycling, kite surfing and skateboarding. On the extensive grounds there is a baseball field, a beer garden, barbecue areas, an extra exercise area for dogs, plenty of space to fly your kite or just play soccer.

Who are our guides ?

Our guides are as colourful as Berlin. They have lived in the city for years, know it and love it. They grew up in the east and west of the city, experienced the fall of the Wall and know the interesting stories and places. They are happy to share their knowledge and many tips about the city and its people with you. Also in several languages.
